Wedding Announcement Submission

Instructions Please Read Carefully

  Wedding Information

The Herald Democrat will make every effort to clarify any information that is in question. However, we will not be responsible for errors due to unclear information or mistakes made by the party filling out the form.

Should any errors occur in the actual publication, they must be reported to the Life Department no later than two weeks after the article was published. The decision of whether the article can be rerun will be made at that time.

Deadline and Cost

Weddings are run only in the Sunday Herald Democrat edition. The deadline for turning in information and photographs for Sunday publication is 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Weddings are published free of charge if submitted for publication prior to the actual wedding or no later than five weeks after the actual wedding date.

Weddings submitted after the five-week deadline must be a paid advertisement through the Herald Democrat Retail Advertising Department.

Wedding Photographs

Any size color or black and white photograph is acceptable. We discourage the use of photographs printed from a home computer printer due to poor reproduction quality.

Only a close-up photograph of the bride or the couple can be used. No other persons may be in the photograph and full-length photographs cannot be used.

Photographs will be returned only if accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

The Herald Democrat will not be responsible for lost or damaged photographs.

Photographs and wedding information can be submitted either by electronic form or it can also be brought into the Denison or Sherman Herald Democrat offices. Photographs and information can also be emailed to lgeorge@heralddemocrat.com If emailing a photograph, it must be in .jpg or .tif format at 200 dpi.

For questions or more information, contact Lynette George, Life Editor, at (903) 465-7171.
