Grayson County Precinct 2 offers amnesty program
During the month of September, Grayson County's Justice Court of Precinct 2 is offering an amnesty program. The court is waiving the warrant fee on any outstanding cases if it is taken care of before an arrest is made.
"This is an excellent opportunity to clear up outstanding cases and save some money," Judge James E. Harris said . "Don't take the chance of spending the holidays in jail. Take care of your outstanding fines now."

It's actually a good idea. The odds of the people with warrants actually getting picked up any time soon and getting their fines paid is not that great. Usually, you have to be stopped for another traffic violation for anyone to even look for you. The round ups that the county performs is few and far between. Some people go years without getting caught. This is a win-win situation. The county gets its money and people stay out of jail. Going to jail costs the county money! Guess what? You and I pay THAT bill.
