The Grayson County Historical Society meeting will be held at 6 p.m. May 9 in the R.C. Vaughan Community Room at Frontier Village at Loy Lake.
Former historical society member Dusty Williams will present on the history of Grayson County locations like Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center, local towns, and historical sites.
Williams founded the Lost and Found Cemetery Preservation. He has written two books on local history and has written several articles for the Van Alstyne Leader on area history.
Williams is a member of several local historical agencies including The Grayson County Historical Society, Board Member for the Grayson County Frontier Village, Tom Bean Genealogy Group, The Grayson County Historical Commission, Historian for Holloway Cemetery and is currently the President of the Van Alstyne Historical Society.
The meeting hosts will be Merrill Hazelton, Sally and Roger Peckenpaugh, Rosemary and Royce Tasker, and Gennette and Bill Wheeler.
