The Lady Coyotes finished third in the Prestonwood Christian Academy Softball Tournament last weekend.

Anna routed John Paul II 19-0 in the first game. The Lady Coyotes then followed up with a 4-3 victory against Concordia Lutheran.

Anna dropped its only game of the tournament to Little Elm, 7-0.

The Lady Coyotes did not let up as they drilled Legacy Christian, 13-0, in the finale.

The girls were not short offensively as they outscored their opponents 36-11 over the weekend.

Coach Tressi Brown is excited about the opportunities this season.

"We are playing extremely well for it being the early in the season and with the weather conditions," she said. "I'm looking forward to a great season, and I have big expectations for our girls this year."
