From Staff Reports

Students participated in VASE Visual Arts Scholastic Event in Plano at Jasper High School on Feb 20th from 9:00am -2:00 pm. Anna competes against 9 other regions including McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Allen, Lovejoy etc. Students are judged by the following criteria: purpose, technique, personal expression, organization, and integration. They may enter up to 2 pieces of art each. Each student is assigned a division depending on what art course they are currently enrolled in and how many total art credits they have at the time of the event. They sit through a 10 minute interview with a art professional (cccc art professor) and are rated a 1, 2, 3 or 4. A rating of 4 is the highest score you can receive at VASE.
