Howe Teams Take On Melissa

<p>The Howe teams were swept by Melissa on Friday night as the Cardinals and Lady Cards fight for playoff seedings.
</p>

<p>On senior night for the Lady Bulldogs Ashley Davis, Katie Pelzel,Maddie Potter, Paige Potter and Briana Slawson were honored for their commitment to Howe basketball for the past four years.
</p>

<p>Melissa got a solid night from its starters to put up a 45-27 win in Howe's final home game of the season.

<p>The Bulldogs were blitzed by the Cardinals as Melissa keeps its perfect record in district 11-2A play. Melissa had four players in double figures as they coasted to an 86-39 win over the Bulldogs
</p>

<p>Alex Torres had nine points to lead the Bulldogs but Melissa put the clamps on Howe's inside game, holding center Kenny Herbert to just five points in the contest. Herbert nabbed eight rebounds.
