The Anna Coyotes took second at the Pottsboro baseball tournament last weekend.

The boys got off to a good start, defeating Community 8-5. Ryan Hayes and Tyler Elliott each doubled and drove in two runs in the win.

The Coyotes pitched the first three innings scoreless as Lloyd Jacobs came away with the win.

The second game was more of the same against Bells. Brad Gee won the pitchers' duel and Anna won the game 7-6.

Tyler Elliott went 2-for-2 and Chris Smith 1-for-1 with each driving in three runs.

The Coyotes faced Crandall in the final game. Crandall jumped out to an early lead, but the Coyotes scored in the third inning to tie the game.

Crandall added runs in the fourth and seventh innings and went on to win the tournament. Roger Windell of Crandall gave up only one run and six hits.

Anna will be back in action Thursday at the Gunter/Prosper Tournament against Gunter at 10 a.m.
