Coyotes Fall to Paris

The No. 21 Paris Wildcats earned the top seed in District 10-3A Friday night by knocking off the Anna Coyotes, 57-44, at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Paris earned a first-round playoff bye with the win.

Anna (26-8) and Paris (28-3) split their series in District 10-3A play and both finished with 9-1 league records.

The Wildcats struggled from the floor in the first half, leading 11-9 after one quarter but trailing 23-22 at halftime.

In the second half, the Wildcats improved their shooting from 29.6 percent from the floor during the first two quarters to 56 percent during the final two.

Ian Reutelhuber paces the Anna offense with 21 points, followed by Andrew Smith with 14.
