Savage Storm 10th at Red River golf tourney

THACKERVILLE, Okla. -- Southeastern's golf team had another rough, weather-effected trip, finishing 10th at the Red River Intercollegiate played on the 7,340-yard, par 72 Winstar Golf Course.
As a team the Savage Storm turned in a 319 on day one and followed it up with a 321 on day two to finish with a plus-64, 640, 47 shots back of team champion Abilene Christian.
Individually, Boston Brittain carded the best tourney total for the squad, with a 78 in the opening round, followed by a 77 on day two for a two day mark of 155 which was good for a tie for 19th.
Zack Claxton fired a two-round 159 to finish in a tie for 34th, with a low-round of 77 in round two.
Corey Gilbert finished two shots back of Claxton after firing a 161 and finishing in a tie for 47th.
Justin Blomberg carded a 165 and finished tied for 60th, while Mike Delloro and Kale Holton finished 66th and 67th, respectively, after firing respective two-round totals of 173 and 181.
