The Housing Authority of Grayson County has an open waiting list and has been taking applications for housing assistance since Sept. 1. The application process will close at 3 p.m. Oct. 27.
The Section 8 program is designed to assist low income families with rent. Persons needing assistance, should bring birth certificates and Social Security cards for everyone in the household, along with current proof of income and driver's license. An application must be completed in the office, and all required documentation must be brought when requesting assistance.
Property owners or managers wanting to participate in the program, are asked to call 903-892-8717.
The office is located at 1708 W. Houston in Sherman.
